Calibrate Me is a 4-piece pop-punk band from Englewood, Colorado. Since forming in 2008, the band has played numerous shows all throughout the Denver area with all different lineups. The band currently consists of founding-members Kyle H (vocals/guitar) and Kyle D (bass), and the more recent additions of Adam Ferro (guitar) and Andy Woodson (drums). With the most solid lineup they've had in years and a unique, fun sound, Calibrate Me is continuing to turn heads everywhere they go.
Fulcrum

FULCRUM" is a Denver, Colorado based modern rock group that includes singer and guitarist Jason Marino, bass player Sasha Moonitz, and Matt Giordano on drums and percussion. Fulcrum's music embraces a fresh take on modern hard rock, paying extra attention to the lost art of melody, with accommodating use of electro synthesizers typically heard in genres like dub-step and house. Extremely focused on writing strong, accessible material, songwriter Jason admires and is influenced by contemporary pop hit-makers like Brandon Boyd of Incubus and Matthew Bellamy of Muse. Fulcrum has recorded with producer Andrew Berlin (Rise Against/Tickle Me Pink) at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO, and are currently recording new material in a studio up in the Colorado mountains. Via a meld of alternative pop, post-grunge and modern electronica, Fulcrum's song-craft, contagious melodies and expert musicianship is drawing comparison to current chartbusters like Incubus, Muse, MuteMath, and Nine Inch Nails.
Fulcrum's songs have been getting radio airplay on both college and commercial radio stations across Colorado, as well as in markets as far away as London, which is quite exciting. The band has garnered airplay at large market stations including "Denver's Independent Alternative" (101.5 FM) and "MileHighUnderground.com", while Denver's mainstream radio station KTCL (93.3 FM) has added Fulcrum to its play list for both daytime airplay and its "Locals Only" show. In addition to being the #1 most-voted-for rock artist in Colorado on MTV2's On The Rise, Fulcrum is securing press coverage both online and in print (Colorado Music Buzz Magazine featured Fulcrum on the top of its list of "27 Artists to Watch For '09", in addition to a featured spread in the October 2010 issue) and have done several radio station interviews in Colorado and surrounding states.
Since their debut live show in early 2006, Fulcrum plays out on the average of several times per month, with the frequency of bookings having steadily increased. In December 2008, Fulcrum performed at the locally famed Hometown for the Holidays competition – sponsored by radio station KTCL 93.3 FM – where they placed in the Top 3 out of over 200 bands. Fulcrum returned the following year with a new single "Always", placing in the contest again in 2009. The group is now consistently being booked at large venues, major universities, music festivals, and will be performing a headlining set at Broomstock 2011 this summer, the largest local music festival in the state. During the summer of 2008 they played during the Democratic National Convention as part of the Green Frontier Music Festival, as well as the much talked about Tent State Music Festival featuring Rage against the Machine.
"THE GROUP SOUNDS AS POLISHED AND PROFESSIONAL AS ANY YOU MIGHT HEAR IN THE MIDDLE OF A CLEAR CHANNEL "ROCK BLOCK" OR SAY, OPENING FOR NICKELBACK. AND DID I MENTION THE GUYS ARE REAL PRETTY? THIS SHOULD BE HUGE."
- Westword Magazine
"I'M GOING TO WALK AROUND WITH THEIR CD STUFFED DOWN THE FRONT OF MY PANTS I LIKE IT SO MUCH!"

RUE

Rue, the brainchild of current guitarist and vocalist Mitchel Rue Carson (18), Drummer Ty Wagner (18), and Pianist Andy Post (18), combines insatiable pop/rock rhythms with extraordinary acoustic acrobatics. Since its inception in the fall of 2009, the band has added three members and unearthed its sound that has culminated in the spring of 2012 release of their first EP, Alaska Pt. 1. The original members of the band brought on bassist Cale Wagner (15), guitarist and vocalist Alex Bacon (17) and most recently Saxophonist and keyboardist Max Bessesen (17) to form what constitutes Rue today.
Rue's amalgamation of different musicians from varied backgrounds provides each song with a unique twist. In songs off Alaska Pt. 1, like "Marching Song", "Dig In", and "Peaches" adeptly highlights the talents of each musician. Their ability to display such fluidity in their music represents the social dynamic of the group and cohesion this group has.
Drummer Ty Wagner says, "I am really excited for people to hear our music. I feel that it is a great representation of the band, and how hard each of us has worked".
The boys of Rue are your typical teenagers off the stage and out of the practice room - but as Guitarist and Vocalist Alex Bacon admits, "When we get to practicing, I know I can trust each one of the guys in the room and (…) I think that people will be able to hear that in our music".
Rue is able to bring together a blend of sounds that are difficult to find. Guitarist and Vocalist Mitchell Carson, who's symphonic sinusoidal lyrics mirror those of his music hero Dave Matthews says, "Dave is definitely an inspiration, so are guys like Mumford and Sons, and Tallest man on Earth. I like to think of those guys as sort of … music mentors; they can teach us". Rue's influence spawns from many of the down-to-earth, acoustic and pop/rock musicians like Young the Giant or Zach Heckendorf. Rue is able to gather lessons from these talented musicians and as Saxophonist and keyboardist Max Bessesen says, "make our own dope sound".
Currently Rue is playing shows across the front Range and plans to make a splash in 2012. If you can't get enough Rue or have any more questions, visit us on Facebook, Youtube or Email us at thebandrue@gmail.com.
