Twisted Method

Cape Coral, Florida: a town described by some as consisting of the newly-wed and the nearly dead. Twisted Method hail from Cape Coral, but their story doesn’t start at the altar or the grave. It begins in the hallowed halls of Mariner High.

Andrew Howard and Ben Goins met in high school when Ben overheard Andrew talking about his ambitions to start a band and rule the world. This piqued Ben’s interest and the two decided to team up. Being only 14 years old at the time, the two enlisted the aid of their mothers to drive Andrew over to Ben’s house so they could practice. Down the street from Ben lived Derek DeSantis. Derek, mesmerized by the music, would spend hours listening to Andrew and Ben jam. Not wanting to be left out any longer, Derek pawned his Playstation for a bass guitar and, the summer after their freshman year, the duo became a trio. With Ben on drums, Andrew on guitar, and Derek on bass, the three were in search of an additional guitar player. Though the three tried out many guitarists, none of them were quite right. Oddly enough, one of the would-be guitarists told of the burgeoning band to Derrick “Tripp” Tribbett. Tripp, being an enterprising youth had something the other three needed: microphones and a PA. Tripp and his equipment were invited over for band practice during which Tripp asked if he could sing and the band obliged. With Tripp on vocals, the four became Twisted Method.
