ION has now changed thier name to…THE CRIMSON RED!! Completely new music coming soon… Ion/The Crimson Red has joined forces with anothe Denver band members of AdamsRuin/Ember and now together as THE CRIMSON RED!!!!! The Crimson Red has procured HUGE regional followings as a cumulative result of impressive sellouts, extensive rotation and support from Clear Channel’s commanding Denver market players like KBPI, major supporting slots including Disturbed, Taproot, Chevelle, Kid Rock, Evanescence, Powerman5000, Cypress Hill, Nickelback, Cold, Ludacris, Lil’ John and the Eastside Boys/ Trillville, Our Lady Peace, Orgy, Mindless Self Indulgence, Molotov, Galactic, Motogrator, Grade 8.
In addition to the many big names The Crimson Red has shared the stage with, they have accomplished what many national bands wait for until thier 3rd or 4th album has hit the major market…The Crimson Red has performed in many large venues, large theatres, coliseums, and the world famous Red Rocks Ampitheatre where they shared the stage with worlwide known artists: Kid Rock, Nickelback, Ludacris, Cypress Hill, Lil’ John & The Eastside Boys and the host of the event being Dave Attell (Insomniac/Comedy Central Network). Vocalist Noe DeLeon’s melodies and harmonies hold up with the best of them, twisting and weaving his way through musical landscapes nothing short of extraordinary. While at times bringing to mind the vocal stylings of Maynard, Chino, etc, the last thing anyone will ever call this band is a knockoff. And with Orgy’s Paige Haley and Coal Chamber’s Mike Cox producing three of the tracks on the bands first EP as Ion, “Gross National Product” in 2003 the buzz already grew by leaps and bounds. This leading up to the highly anticipated full-length release of “ARMA” spring of 2006. With industry players singing their accolades. Following “ARMA”, Ion now The Crimson Red is currently in the studio on thier third album release “La Vita Bella”, expect much much more surprises from Ion now as THE CRIMSON RED on the third album.
