“Jonathan Tiersten is one of the 5 best songwriters to come out of the Denver and Boulder area in the last 15 years and that includes Big Head Todd.”
- Sharon Rawles, booking agent for the Blue Mule & Cricket on the Hill

The rules were simple: To find something musically unique and to never discount an idea, always try it and see how it sounds. It started as a recording project. That was close to two years ago.
As confidence grew within Ten Tiers, so did the goals. Ten Tiers has since taken its music to the live scene, playing Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Summit County. Over the last year and a half, they have self-produced a six song demo cd, developed their own website, teamed up with Fury Artist Management, and produced its first full length CD after hitting the studio in December, January and February. The album will be released this winter.
Jonathan Tiersten—lead vocals & acoustic guitars
Jonathan grew up in New York City and has always been an artistic person. Initially, he took a stab at becoming an actor. He graduated from NYU with a degree in theater and took on leading roles in two independent films as well as some commercials and local plays. Somewhere along the way Jonathan decided music was his true calling. He moved to Colorado, released a solo album, and fronted two different local bands: Gafiltaphunk and Bambi’s Apartment, the latter of which released two albums. In Ten Tiers, Jonathan plays the role of lead singer, songwriter, and acoustic guitarist.
