HEY GUYS/GIRLS, HERE ARE THE LYRICS FOR THE NEW DEMOS!
LEARN THEM…LIVE THEM….BREATHE THEM. ENJOY!!!!
Bolt Action Hero
Tell me, can you feel the cracking of these hardwood floors beneath us? It’s keeping us awake on lonely nights. I hope you can feel the light casting shadows on your face. Keep your lips sealed and hold back the celebration. Let’s keep this on the backburner tonight. I need some time to think this through, well we’ll see just trust me. So lock on these sights and take a deep breath. Pull back the trigger and do it again, you know they never meant a thing. There’s so much, so much to talk about I don’t think I could live without a drop of ink signing your name. On this, on this document that states I’m all you ever dreamed of, I swear I’m all you’ve ever dreamed. So lock on these sights and take a deep breath. Pull back the trigger and do it again, you know they never meant a thing.
Predator
We’ll make it, we’ll make it last all night and try to wake up to the sunlight that’s beating through your bedroom window and making your eyes look like they’re supposed to. Keep me quite before I tell, your secrets lie safe within me. Take my hand and I’ll show you my world. I’ll comfort you while you’re comfortable in me. I starve to be used by you. Should I dream? Should I turn off the lights and scream at the top of my lungs just to get your attention? We could show our love with affection. Break it down into fragments of a sentence; well it’s got an edge on the contents of the whole message that’s trying to keep us both interested. Keep me quite before I tell, your secrets lie safe within me. Take my hand and I’ll show you my world. I’ll comfort you while you’re comfortable in me. I starve to be used by you. I’m craving to be abused. So take control, do what you will. My body is motionless and lying still. I won’t dare to breath. Just hold your breath, don’t make a sound. Just hold me close, keep my voice from coming out. Throw your hair back, make it happen. Kiss her shoulder and whisper in her ear “I’m the guy that could make this happen, just work with me honey work with me”
Don’t Blush
What do you say we attempt to be on our own all night long? Do you think that it would work, or would we crash and burn and dive in head first to a pool of humiliation? Well this conversation has ran its course. Don’t blush you gotta stand up straight, keep a smile on because you don’t want to give it away that you’re never happy. You are never happy. Maybe alone isn’t how we want to feel. Maybe we need something a little more real. Like how about a frown every once in a while? It sure beats the hell out of a hollow smile and lying eyes. Well lying eyes still cry. Cross your fingers cause everybody’s saying that you won’t make it out alive. Cross your fingers cause everybody’s saying that you didn’t even try. Don’t blush you gotta stand up straight, keep a smile on because you don’t want to give it away that you’re never happy. You are never happy. Cross your fingers cause everybody’s saying that you won’t make it out alive. Cross your fingers cause everybody’s saying that you didn’t even try.
Brewing from many diverse influences, Stimulis mingles the ideology of alternative pop with the hard hitting emotional rock that is taking the notion of Rock ‘n’ Roll to a new intensity. Fun and coherent, sweet and emotional, apologetic and full of angst; their lyrics will, without doubt, be fixed in your mind for hours. Catchy lines like; “We’ll party till we burn this mofo’ down,” “Throw your hair back and make it happen,” and “Keep your lips sealed and hold back the celebration” will leave you with unforgettable melodies etched in your mind. Each song will enlighten you with an overture of deliberation.
The lead vocalist, Dustin Beck, will leave you begging for more with the pleasing lines and unremitting flow to the lyrics. The guitarists, Dale Beck and Mike Cody, blend two diverse styles of playing to craft the true sound of Stimulis. Bass player, PJ Biscontini, keeps the rhythm, in conjunction with the Drummer, Jimmy Schin; he is the true “back-bone” of Stimulis. Together, they create an interesting combination with influences ranging from Emotional Rock to Jazz and Alternative Indie-Rock.
Fashioned in the year of 2003 from two local bands, Stimulis rapidly made a name for themselves locally. After only a couple months, Stimulis went in to Clay Creek Studio to record their first EP as a new band. The EP would be entitled “No Such Thing as Perfect.” After recording and producing four songs in just two days, Stimulis quickly opened eyes on purevolume.com. Soon before the release of the EP, Stimulis bassist, Eric Thomson, decided to part ways with the band: lead vocals, Dustin Beck, took over on bass. In August, Stimulis released the EP independently. They then picked up PJ Biscontini, ex-Benton, to play bass for them.
After selling all of the copies released independently, Stowaway Records, owned by Utterpunk.com CEO Jonathon Steil, offered Stimulis a contract. The EP was re-released under Stowaway on November 19th.
