Shallow Man Down started in Summer of 2005. Spent the next year plus writing and developing their unique sound while they searched for a singer with enough talent, charisma and presence to compliment the energy that their music demanded.
In early 2007, after over a year of tryouts, they officially added Dave Watson to the crew as lead singer.
Most of the band members are Colorado natives. Dave Watson moved here from South Florida and is originally from the Boston area. Jake Scott is originally from the windy city of Chicago (less windy since he left).
Shallow Man Down’s rise in local popularity has been nothing but extraordinary. Since their first official show (March 31st, Cricket on the Hill) they quickly moved from opening for various big acts at Herman’s Hideaway to being sought as headlining act at the Gothic Theatre on August 18th. They have also caught the attention of local radio show host ALF at 93.3 – who debuted their song “Little More Time” on his Sunday night Locals Only show on August 5th.
Shallow Man Down’s explosive rise in popularity has everything to do with the talent and many years each band member has spent in numerous projects, playing both covers and originals, bringing an invaluable level of experience to their project.
Shallow Man Down will be one of the bands to watch going forward as they continue their spectacular rise through the Denver music scene.
