With a sound comprised of melodic repetition, progressive builds, schizophrenic transitions and the occasional crushing wall of noise – Peña is constantly evolving. Choosing to pass on standard song structures, the music becomes an extension of thoughts, emotion, and surroundings. Created as a representation of environment and the life around us, the music tells stories of epic proportions. Complex and dark one moment, upbeat and bright the next.
The band has had the chance to collaborate with other like-minded individuals – bass players, guitarists, keyboards, visual artists – helping push the bands progression by bringing in outside views and inspiration. The line-up has always had the same core members though, beginning with the long time drum and guitar duo of Micheal Scarano and Aaron Ray, and the addition of Nick Sullivan on bass.
