Otion
Otion was formed in the spring of 1999, with the ideal of expressing pure emotion through sight and sound. Ignoring some uses of traditional tonal melody and harmonization, otion explores the use of atonal and modern sound structure with driving rhythms to give their songs an unusual quality. Otion stands as a instrumental trio with the addition of a digital projectionist which, ultimately, creates a sound and visual spectacle that one would have to see live to fully absorb. Opening for such bands as Drums and Tuba, Total Shutdown, Medicine Drum, and Sleepy time Gorilla Museum.
