Nick & Tom From Devotchka
DeVotchKa is a great Denver Band. Recently named as on of Colorado’s Best Underground Bands by the Denver Post. Nicholas Urata’s Latin-Slavic-flavored ensemble is one spicy ethnic feast. DeVotchKa combines cello, double bass, violin, accordian, trumpet, typical rock instruments and more, Nick Urata (formely of Chicago’s the Reejers) and company have carved out a niche all their own. Tom Waits and 16 Horsepower would dig this, but what more could you expect from a band whose name hails from “A Clockwork Orange?”
