Seattle’s Mountain Consolidated is a musical hybrid, a six-member band that bridges the gap between the groove of contemporary urban music and the country-folk tradition, along with an intelligent sense of irony and humor. With one foot in the musical roots of folk, blues and country and the other knee deep in hip-hop, Mountain Con’ sound has been likened to the mixes of Beck and the roots sound layered over hip-hop that you get from artists like R.L. Burnside.
