Losing November is a song-oriented roots rock band that brings audiences a classy performance designed to move and inspire. Stylistically, their melodic hooks, catchy harmonies and driving guitars can be compared to groups like The Counting Crows, The Wallflowers, Sister Hazel, and Train.
More than fifteen years ago, Chris Stake and Eric Claytor formed a singing and songwriting partnership in the Maryland/DC area which would eventually become Losing November. After relocating to Denver they wrote and recorded their first demo.
Shortly thereafter, in the fall of 2000, they met producer and Xiren guitarist Josh Skelton. After hearing their demo, Skelton took an immediate interest in their music. The three began working together to refine and build upon the existing material. In the spring of 2001, they began to record a debut EP with a new sound and new direction.
