John Price

Price is, in the best sense of the word, old-school. He has been performing professionally for nearly five years, playing to packed houses across his North-Texas stomping grounds, regularly selling-out headlining gigs while holding down opening spots for hot shots like the Old 97’s and good ole boys like Pat Green and Robert Earl Keen,. The way Price has been able to reconcile being a talented singer-songwriter with being a balls-to-the-wall rocker is probably a coup unlike anything that any other prototypical alt-rocker has ever pulled off. John Price ain’t no savior — and he certainly ain’t no saint — but he is one of the sharpest, most aggressive singer-songwriters to come out of Fort Worth-Dallas in a long time.

John Price ain’t no savior — and he certainly ain’t no saint — but he is one of the sharpest, most aggressive singer-songwriters to come out of Dallas in a long time. A sincere artist with balls to the wall attitude, he is a unique contradiction often compared to Ryan Adams. John Price will debut in 2004 on Aezra Records.
