The Irie Still band was formed in 1995 in New Mexico. It’s style, steeped first and foremost in the danceable beats of reggae, incorporate elements of Hip-Hop, Soca, Dancehall, Calypso, Funk, Soul, Latin and Jazz.
Over their seven-year career they have shared the stage with Burning Spear, Black Uhuru, Toots and the Maytals, Eek-A-Mouse, Culture, Israel Vibrations and Yellowman.
Currently based in Colorado, Irie Still headlines the Reggae on Broadway series at Herman’s Hideaway and plays frequently in Denver, Boulder, the metro-area front range and mountain towns.
Irie Still is an overwhelming powerhouse onstage. Playing mostly original music, the band incorporates audience participation, soaring four-part vocal harmony, choreography and political consciousness into a live set that often stretches to over three hours without a break.
