The Band
Fat Knuckle Jack is everything that modern rock’s been missing for far too long, with a sound that is aggressive and powerful, yet defiantly beautiful. This Denver-based band has captivated audiences across Colorado with their high-energy live performances for three years, and is now expanding their audience base through shows across the country after touring from Georgia to California.
The Sound
Composed of talent with varying backgrounds, the band unites eclectically with the interest of unearthing the essentials of rock by pairing aggressive guitar leads with vocal lines that develop from passion and melody rather than empty screamo lyrics. Songs like “Ghost” and “Short Changed” demonstrate a signature formula of strength through musicality with a bite of lyrical vulnerability, reminiscent of the sound of the Foo Fighters or today’s Velvet Revolver.
Notable Performances and Venues
Fat Knuckle Jack completed it’s first national tour in 2005, and in both 2004 and 2003 the foursome were invited to play at the Denver Capital Hill People’s Fair where audience numbers pushed 1,000 both years.
