The Hawaiian culture has a special rhythm unlike any place in the world. The root of this rhythm comes from its music and language. Mark Kahalekulu and Mark Kunimune, who were both born and raised in Hawaii, are Elua (the number two in the Hawaiian language). Their blend of acoustic slack key guitar, ukulele, and rich harmonies personify Hawaiian rhythm. Elua’s style reflects the renaissance era (60’s & 70’s) in which they grew up in. They bring back the sounds of musicians from that period and earlier. In true Hawaiian way, Elua welcomes to the stage musicians and hula dancers form the audience to join them to kani ka pila (jam). Elua’s engaging style of entertaining takes you directly to the islands and provides a total cultural experience.
