Elctrikchair is a dynamic group of insanely GIFTED young musicians, unique to the metal genre. Their music is melodic AND SHOCKINGLY sophisticated.
Elctrikchair utilizes complex arrangements impossible to accomplish without complete command of instrumental and in-depth knowledge of music theory.
Elctrikchair plays carefully orchestrated and detailed compositions, incorporates dark and interesting European melodies, Satriani like guitar solos, powerful energy driven blast beats, sensational drum fills and perfectly timed Vic Firth influenced jazz/blues rudiments.
Contemporary and traditional death/black metal vocals that may appear unpolished to some are genuinely appreciated in the death/black, hardcore, punk and diverse metal scenes.
Passionate delivery combined with a deep and highly desired grunt/scream style [not easily duplicated] sets Elctrikchair apart from the undesired mainstream sound massacre.
The orginal metal band idea was born March 2003 when the Rodriguez brothers decided they had a message for the world and the musicianship to deliver it.
Representing six Colorado generations, brothers Andy “Jake” Rodriguez, Lead Guitar and Robert “Bob” Rodriguez, Drums shape the band’s nucleous. Band family member, Eloy Fernandez, Bass/Support Vocals joined the group in August 2003. The child of a first generation Mexican American family, Eloy was born in Los Angeles, CA and relocated to Colorado five years prior to joining Elctrikchair. Elctrikchair’s newest member, Jesus Garcia, Rhytum Guitar hails from Mexico. Jesus moved to LA at a young age and relocated to Denver, CO about a year ago where he met Elctrikchair and was invited to join the band.
At IRON MAIDEN’S Colorado [Fiddler’s Green] Show, former lead vocalist, Chris Vigil, of Throcult tauted Elctrikchair among his favorite up-and-coming metal bands.
In its brief but highly successful history, Elctrikchair, has performed live with high local, regional and national bands. Elctrikchair’s latest EP promo has been widely played on college radio, by Clear Channel stations and on international metal programs. Elctrikchair’s CD magazine reviews have been exceptional. Elctrikchair is on tour nationally.
To The Delight of metal Fans, Elctrikchair recently joined DEATH ANGEL, MOD, CATTLE DECAPITATION, DEEDS OF FLESH, THE MISFITS and metal’s best live on the main stage at the MILWAUKEE METAL FEST XVIII. HAILS TO THE THOUSANDS THAT ATTENDED MILWAUKEE METAL FEST XVIII!
