Elana Rogers & The Reason

Transplanting to Denver from her hometown of Dallas, TX in the spring of 2002, Elana brought with her years of expertise as a professional singer/songwriter. As a teenager, she taught herself drums followed by acoustic guitar and began composing songs to accommodate her already existing vocal talent. One day Elana decided to expand her horizons and embark on a new journey: She choose Denver, Colorado as her new home. She took the plunge with only a few bucks in her pocket, no job lined up, and only knowing a handful of people. Her favorite quote is, “Love the journey, not the destination.” This unique experience is translated into some of her music.

Many strums later, she released her distinctive Denver debut CD “One of Those Days” in May 2005. This Denver debut warranted an excellent review in the Westword by Michael Roberts. She was since invited to perform at the 2005 CHUN’s Peoples’s Fair, earned a spot on 99.5 The Mountain’s “Homegrown Hour”, and was selected to showcase at 2005’s Durango Songwriter’s EXPO – her 1st year ever to attend!

While performing live, Elana will capture you with her smokey wide-range vocals, articulate songwriting style, love & infatuation for singing and playing live, and her unique Americana Rock-style genre. She combines a mixture of tugging originals and her adaptation of covers – making them all her own. She has added a new ingredient to her music by formulating a full-time backing band and is eager to introduce this rocking new element at your venue. She has given them a name all their own: “Elana Rogers & The Reason” and continues to explore the art and passion of songwriting.
