Dr. Neptune
This band has given us more than anyone will ever know. We’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with some of our favorite bands such as FACE TO FACE + THE MISFITS + TEN FOOT POLE + FINCH + RIDDLIN’ KIDS + TIGER ARMY + VOODOO GLOW SKULLS + AGNOSTIC FRONT + MUSTARD PLUG + THE QUEERS and more. We’ve been blessed with many friendships from so many other hard-working CO acts like KING RAT + STUNTDOUBLES (RIP) + BOLDTYPE + HIT OR MISS + RENO DIVORCE + MISUNDERSTOOD + BOP SKIZZUM + THE FRAY + D.O.R.K. + THE GAMITS and many more. We’ve made so many great friends and fans all across Colorado and the western U.S.; I can’t imagine what our lives would have been like if Dr. Neptune didn’t exist. This is why we keep booking tours every chance we get. Everything we have accomplished has been the result of our own hard work and i think we take great pride in that. We have been working hard—booking tours, releasing albums, managing, promoting, and playing shows since the band’s conception in the mid-90s. Our most recent achievement occurred this summer when Kevin Lyman personally invited Dr. Neptune to join the2005 Vans Warped Tour. Unlike many bands, this offer wasn’t the result of some smooth-talking agent. We came up with a great idea of following the Warped Tour ‘04 around for three weeks with a generator, equipment, and two dedicated merch girls. We set up our DIY stage in the early morning; played set after set until the line depleted; helped the Warped Tour crew tear down most of the Warped Tour site to show our appreciation; then drove 8-12 hours to the next city, to sleep for 3 or 4, and to do it all over again. It was strenuous work but our effort gained us a substantial amount of friends and fans and managed to impress many people working within the tour, including the Warped Tour’s owner/founder, Kevin Lyman. Our work also rewarded us with being included on the upcoming 2004 Beyond Warped Documentary and possibly more 2004 Warped Tour releases. Currently we’re working hard to put out and promote our newest, independent release, Prelude to Fire and Rain: a 6 song, 25+ minute blend of the latest Dr. Neptune styles.
