Do Unto Others offers a diverse brutal sound, with raging vocals, fast drumming, crushing riffs, and many changes. Comprised of Dylan Pointer (vocals), Ryan DeHart (guitars), Jeff Niedens (bass), Nick Welch (dj, samples), and Ben Mangina (drums), Do Unto Others was formed in Winter of 2000 in small town name Milliken, Colorado. We began writing songs with a clear goal in mind- to make metal music that was different. Something that had a groove that you could move to, no matter what your musical preference was…something that would catch someone’s attention and not to be overlooked. With influences that range from Deftones, Killswitch Engage, & Lamb Of God, Sepultura, with a progressive, yet intricate style, we basically hoped to bring something new to the table. Something that hadn’t been beat to death in the local scene, or music abroad. With the newest EP, “Peer Prescribed Suicide”, we took all of our emotions as a result of going through 3 guitar players, and 2 singers in the last 4 years, which was frustration, anger, sadness, & uncertainty, and molded it all together, into what is our best recording yet.
Our goal is and will always be to spread our music to as many ears as possible, to not be disregarded as ‘just another band’, and to break new ground, making great metal music that EVERYONE can enjoy..
