Orange Peal Records’ newest band, Dexter Danger, is a young explosive punk rock quartet hailing from the busy city of San Francisco. The buzz about this band is almost deafening. So much so that everyone who has ears is taking notice.
With 5,500 CD’s sold independently before signing to Orange Peal, being frequently featured commercial radio in the SF Bay Area, nearly 20,000 unique MP3.com downloads, all since their beginning in early 2001, this band is determined to make everyone listen to what they have to say.
Dexter Danger took the stage by storm at The Vans Warped Tour in ’02, and ’03, and have shared the stage with countless national acts such as: The Aquabats, Yellowcard, Rufio, Rx Bandits, The Suicide Machines, Tsunami Bomb, No Motiv, A Static Lullaby, Audio Karate, Bowling For Soup, The Bled, The Exit + many more.
As busy as they are, they acknowledge their gratitude for their fans on a daily basis. “We will go out of our way to make sure our kids are happy. They’re the reason we are where we are.” comments Aymen. The connection between the band and the audience is evident when at a Dexter Danger show. Their encouragement to “sing as loud as you can” while sharing the microphone with their fans sometimes gets rowdy but is all within the reasoning of why they are a band. “When we’re up there with our kids, nothing else in the world matters. For those moments, so many different people are united as one group, singing the same song, feeling the same emotions, through quite possibly the greatest outlet in existence…..music.”
