Caught somewhere between epic 80’s metal and modern progressive rock lies Dartanian. Their music combines catchy maiden-esque riffs, victorious sing-along anthems and straight up breakdowns.
The band first formed in 2002 when ex members of the influential metalcore band Shogun and Colorado rockers Departure decided to bring back an element that has been missing in music lately—FUN!
Their philosophy is to rock as hard as humanly possible and to spread their ‘posi party metal’ throughout the world.
The band’s energetic live performances always involve crowd participation, an 80’s cover or two and possibly a visit from their mascot cap’t metal.
