American singer-songwriter Dan Hicks has been creating his own musical legend since the early 1960s. His sound defies categorization, yet is somehow familiar and appealing to even first-time listeners. Although firmly rooted in the American Folk Music tradition, Dan deftly blends elements of Swing, Jazz, and Country to create his unique sound, which he sometimes calls Folk Jazz. His subject matter ranges from the deeply moving to the downright hilarious, all presented with his unique and inscrutable touch.
