Congress of the Crow are an original hard rock band based in Westminster, CO. Our musical influences include Tool, Godsmack, Led Zep ,Alice in Chains, Clutch, A Perfect Circle, The Cult, Days of the New, Black Label Society, Staind, Sevendust, Stone Temple Pilots, Seether, Jerry Cantrell, Social Distortion… We strive to be a diverse group that can actively journey through the light and shade of music. We pride ourselves in heavy & thunderous jams, yet still reserve room for lighter acoustic chapters. In order to tell an epic tale there must tension & release body & climax. We are original learning and developing from our influences rather than simply becoming them. Originality and substance are essential in the music industry today.Congress of the Crow was originally a name given to a Kama Sutra position known to Westerners as the “69”.In it’s artistic form it is a symbol of Harmony, Balance and Strength, and is similiar in many ways to the Chinese Yin-Yang symbol. We believe that everything in the universe has a certain balance that must be maintained in order to live harmoniously, or to create honest substantial music.
