Cold Blooded Collapse (CD Release)

The future looked bleak for the members of Hedon. They had just lost their guitarist, but found this opportunity to find a new path. The members, Tyler Welch, Scott Marin, and Drew Smith, soon found their new path with lead singer Jonathan Lee, and changed their name to Taunting the Scars. TTS played under their new moniker for a year, but found another new path with the name, Cold-Blooded Collapse. Today, Cold-Blooded Collapse consists of Jonathan Lee (Lead Vocals), Drew Smith (Bass & Backing Vocals), Scott Marin (Drums & Backing Vocals), and Tyler Welch (Guitar & Vocals). CBC plays a mix of rock, metal, and progressive music that consists of intricate harmonies, technical drumming, moving bass lines, and sound song writing. Since their construction, Cold-Blooded Collapse has played with Colorado bands, No Fair Fights, Adam’s Ruin, Autofate, Drug Under, and Saving Verona among others. They have played at some of the top venues in Colorado such as the Gothic Theatre, the Aggie Theatre, and the Walnut Room. Cold-Blooded Collapse puts on an amazing live show with consistent musical technique, extensive energy, and a love for the moment. Recently, Cold-Blooded Collapse has recorded their first full-length album at critically acclaimed Rudy’s Studio in Denver, Colorado. The album is entitled, Those Who Fight the Dreadful. Those Who Fight the Dreadful consists of an eclectic mix of songs featuring drastic dynamic changes, invigorating tempo surges, and complex song structure. Some of the highlights on the album include the dramatic “Murder of a Masquerade,” the upbeat “Beneath the Sunburned Sky,” and the moving title track “Those Who Fight the Dreadful.” The album is a 70 minute voyage that takes listeners through an amalgamation of feelings, emotions, and sounds. The album is described by the band as a reverse concept album that originally did not have a story, but after the songs were written, the concept wrote itself into the music. The album tells the story of a man on his death bed who writes a novel based on his life through war, friendship, death, and love. With the release of their new album, Cold-Blooded Collapse sees their future as full of potential. As more shows come, more music is written, and more people discover Cold-Blooded Collapse, the band hopes they have the will to make a dream, a reality
