Bleed The Sky

Metal is evolving as we speak. Hailing from the musical breeding grounds of Orange County, CA, with musical inspiration ranging from southern thrash metal to old-school rap, Bleed the Sky are six guys with one common goal: to create a new respect for metal through musicianship, lyrical depth, melody, and unabated brutality. Formed in Jan. 2003, the members of Bleed the Sky have no intention of “taking things slowly”. They have already achieved in the short time they have been a band, what many bands hope to achieve in a lifetime, by securing a record deal with the metal giant Nuclear Blast, recording and releasing a full length album worldwide and selling over 10,000 copies worldwide in its first month.

February 3, 2003 would mark the beginning of a very prolific journey. As the opening act for the acclaimed Opeth, they achieved a positive response to their torrent of metal riffs and distinctive melody. After only 5 months as a band, the landed a tour with hardcore legends, Integrity (Victory Records), and have since toured from coast to coast and opened as direct support for such bands as Static-X, Murderdolls, Skinlab, Kreator, Vader, Death Angel and others.

The experience of playing back to back shows for months on end, allowed them to sharpen their skills individually as musicians, and collectively, as a extremely powerful live band. As a culmination of their efforts, they returned home to sign an exclusive deal with Nuclear Blast records (In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Meshuggah) in October, and have since recorded their full length album “Paradigm in Entropy” released world wide in late April 05’.

Their music has appeared on several compilations and samplers such as the Concrete Corner sampler (along with the Deftones, Incubus), the Alone in the Dark soundtrack along with Shadows Fall, Meshuggah, Chimaira, and Arch Enemy.

With a clear vision of long-term goals and an unwavering determination. Bleed the Sky are claiming their place in the industry by expanding the boundaries of their genre. Combined with a drive to achieve and a dedication to innovation of their music that is evaded by most, Bleed the Sky are well on their way to ravaging the status quo.
