All Capitals
Formed in November of 2004, all capitals consist of four individuals with an innate passion for creating new music. Paul Christus (Guitar/vocals), Todd Spriggs (Bass/vocals), Antonio Corona (Drums/vocals), and Nathan Norris (guitar/vocals) all engineer and invent the punch of the band. In the beginning, Christus, Corona, and Norris, all former band mates from another previous local band were evolving as musicians and searching for a bassist that would connect with their musical aspirations. Meanwhile, Spriggs was playing in and around the Denver scene when he read an ad for a band searching for a new bassist. After many rehearsals with other musicians, the then unnamed band auditioned Spriggs; there was an instant connection and conceptionall capitals. Over the past two years all capitals have melded together to complete a genuine original sound. all capitals synthesize a wide array of influences from Jazz to Punk to Classical while continually exploring and pushing their musical talent to spark an intimate synergy with each other that is absolute. By playing local venues they are getting their name out and are constantly building their fan base. In November of 2005 they released their first EP, saturn. Their CD release party was a success and they received an exceptionally positive review in the November 17, 2005 issue of Westword, a local Denver publication. Eryc Eyle wrote, Deceptively simple at first, the often-seething guitar pop of all capitals reveals greater complexity upon several listens. The band avoids coyness and cuts straight to the rock and recalls the Pixies and Sugar-era Bob Mould." Open to growth and thriving off of creativity, all capitals are excited and anxious for what the future has in store for them. With a West-Coast tour under their belt in the spring of 2006, they are eager to tour more and expose everyone to the lethal ear-candy of all capitals. Have you heard it?
