Action Shot hails as the greatest (and only) ska band ever from Lafayette, CO.
Somewhere between the Mad Caddies and Iron Maiden, the A.S. posse crams a lovably
loose rhythm section around alongside the most absurdly large horn section in ska
music today. A soundman’s worst nightmare, the 8-piece musical circus makes your
eardrums bleed in style with a danceably tasty blend of ska, punk, reggae and
classic rock with a metal twist.
Fueled by PBR and skim milk, the band has taken their live spectacle up and down the
Front Range since 2001 with the state’s wide variety of screamo bands and the 3
other ska bands who forgot to quit playing 6 years ago. If you’ve traded in your
checkered pants and pork pie hat for a sweater vest and leg warmers, it’s time to
dust off your dancing shoes and remember the days when you actually had fun at
shows. The cure for sad, wallowing music is here, and its name is Action Shot.
