Necronauts

The two brothers Goodman (billy g—git/vox, dale goodman—skins) were ran out of a little slice of hell-heaven known as Springerville, AZ by football playing redneck “police officers” in 1997 over an irrigation/land rights dispute. They narrowly escaped to the even hellier-heaven known as Mesa, AZ.
Within the city walls they could no longer fish and shoot skeet, but they thought Led Zepplin, Fugazi, Sons of the Pioneers and Nirvana were damn fine so they decided to form a rock band (the Necronauts) in September 2000. (Idle hands are the devils playground.)

A local gunslinger (Andrew Pangus—bass) noticed the unusual burst of creativity and quickly tried his hand at belt whips and rock rolling and became one of the ‘Nauts. The Three (as they’re sometimes called by the locals) quickly gained acclaim and notoriety due to their liberating sounds. Some big city folk going as far as calling them “Weezer on Acid” and a somewhat trailer park version of “The Who”.

The ‘Necs decided just in case they might get mixed up in another land war, they had better make compadres with some fellow Phoenician bandits. So they caused some ruckus with The Format, Stereotyperider and Existi a time or two, heck some city slickers even invited them to warm up the stage for folk like Frank Black, Apples in Stereo, Hank Williams III & Hot Hot Heat.

So that about brings you up to snuff on the where-beens. For the what-nows the boys are plannin’ on spreading their brand of rock rollin’ and belt whippin’ to your town and maybe getting some of the bigger wigs to pay for the damages.
