Last Laugh

Last Laugh was formed in 1994. The goal at the time was to play covers that we all liked and just have fun. When longtime drummer Bob Pater came in with the opportunity to play an actual gig the whole band agreed. Except Devin. He had never sung in front of anyone before and thought this was just a cellar project that was all in fun. To make a long story short, Last Laugh, who by the way didn’t have a name as of yet talked him into it and the rest is history.

That first show was a great night. Packed house, tons of friends, family and others. The band got rave reviews from all and immediately the club wanted to book them again. After a brief hiatus to polish it’s delivery and add a ton of songs Last Laugh started booking regular dates in all the local clubs and began to grow in popularity.

After taking the Merrimack Valley by storm and selling out clubs on a regular basis Last Laugh, known for their precise renditions of the songs, high energy, strong vocals, great production and overall talent began fanning out to Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and the Boston scene. The crowds followed and grew. The band was rolling!

With all bands, unfortunately there are bound to be changes and Last Laugh has had their share and plenty of it. Though the members changed periodically, it seemed they always made the right choice for a replacement. Change is good and change they did. From a simple rock band Last Laugh transformed itself into a pop, heavy metal, grunge, classic rock, and even a wedding band on a few occasions. “Whatever the crowd dictated we played.” This speaks volumes for the level of musicianship that is needed to be so versatile.
