San Diego, CA based Lances Hero formed in the spring on 2002
with the intent of writing hard-hitting rock music. Lances Hero is named
after Alex Kent’s younger brother who passed away from Leukemia
at the young age of 8. After witnessing Lance’s three-year battle with
this horrible disease, they decided not to have some random band
name. They chose something close to their hearts…something inspirational.
Lance would come to their shows, sign autographs and enjoy the excitement of
watching hisbrother and friends play for him. He was their biggest fan…and
they were truly his hero. Now his memory will be carried on through the
music of Lance’s Hero.

With the infusion of the classics (David Bowie, The Doors), and modern
intensity (At the Drive, Thursday), LANCES HERO caught the ear of
renowned producer Ryan Greene (NOFX, Fenix TX). Ryan recorded the
bands first EP “Silhouette” over a four-day period at Motor Studios in
San Francisco. Since it’s self release in 2003, LH has done a leg of
the Warped Tour, shared the stage with the likes of The Ataris,
Yellowcard, Glassjaw, Static Lullaby, The Used, Something Corporate,
and invaded the Southern California airwaves with their single “Cut
Like Glass” on stations like 92.1 FM, 94.9 FM, and 91X FM.

Since then, LH has gone back in the studio with Ryan Greene to record a
demo of 4 new songs. The new recording is a testament to great
musicianship, songwriting, and a more mature Lances Hero. The
powerful and moody track “Taurus and Leo” was recently posted on
Mp3.com and has been climbing the charts.

Lances Hero continues to move forward with their hard working ethic,
and passion for music, to write, record, and tour into the future.
