Harmonious Junk’s sound is an ever evolving amalgamation of musical styles and influences. Blending the knowledge gained backing R&B/Soul star, Funk innovator, and Legendary band leader James Brown (guitarist Damon Wood was a featured soloist with the Godfather of Soul from 99’-06’) with the Grateful Dead and Fusion Jazz schools of Improvisation, and everything from the Blues and Funk to Comedy Rock, and you have the lethal combination that makes this group a unique, powerful and unpredictable musical entity. With a growing list of crowd pleasing originals like “Too Cocky In Nagasaki”, “Hippy Girl”, “Zombified” and “Mama Got Rhythm”, and a cover songlist featuring some of the great hits and cult classics of all time (by artists such as Stevie Wonder, the Grateful Dead, the Beatles, Ween, Phish, Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley, James Brown, and the most recent project, the music from the Coen Brothers classic film The Big Lebowski mixed with Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon), Harmonious Junk is an energetic and multi-faceted, multi-genre tour de-force must-see.
