BRAINPAN, based out of Denver, Colorado, U.S.A., was conceived by Jason “Sleddog” Sleder and ClintWoodard back in 2003. After several line-up changes the true form of BRAINPAN didn’t emerge until the summer of 2004. With the current lineup, BRAINPAN has taken an approach to aggressive music like no other band. Their unique song writing and intermixture of musical genres have proven positive for this professional band. With a great melting pot of jazz, fusion, funk, jazz, swing, classical, drum n’ bass, metal, hardcore, and black metal, BRAINPAN is creating a new style of music for the future.
BRAINPAN is a band of professionals having played over 1000 shows combined in every setting imaginable. From big venues to huge festivals, every member brings their own style and creativity to form this musical juggernaut. Not one member is from Colorado. Each member is from a different state and their intertwining of cultures has had a positive affect on the band. In just 7 months of being a solid band with a stable line-up, BRAINPAN has been playing large venues and opening up for nationals or nearly selling out shows in just 8 shows.
BRAINPAN is looking to not be Number 1 but an innovator in a new style of music. They want to be remembered for their contribution to American music and the world. They are creators and not the players. They are leaders and not followers. Come out to a show and witness the raw energy they unleash upon their listeners. Their music is one to be felt and seen.
