Born in the Flood originated over a decade ago when Nathaniel D. Rateliff and Joseph Pope III met barefoot in the sleepy rural midwest of
Missouri. They formed thereafter; a presence and power, near tragic turns to take them
raging through to here,’a place of earnest, uncompromised and unashamed.’ Now with Minnesotan guitarist Matthew Fox and percussion from Colorado native Mike Hall, the four have emerged to claim fire and cast a smile upon
your dark hollows. Complete with ever-increasing live bursts sonically, an e.p. in the
final hours, and an l.p. creation begun internally, these boys will knock upon the
collective, conscious hours remaining in a day. When moments unfold in uncertain intervals and we have not a moment to lose.
