Blister 66

The beginning concepts of Blister66 began in Denver around the summer of 1996 when vocalist Chris Dellinger hooked up with some friends and started making noise. He had no idea at that time the impact the band that would eventually become Blister66 would have on so many people. The first incarnation of Blister66 surfaced somewhere in 97 and continued through 99 but in 2000 the whole world of Blister66 changed when Dellinger hooked up with guitarist Taylor Steele and the vision of what Blister66 is today really began to take form. Blister66 combines the musical elements of metal, alternative, punk, and some hardcore into what is the cutting edge of modern rock. It is very difficult to catagorize B66 to just one genre since the band’s song writing ability is so diverse and pours out such emotion that is rare to much of today’s music. Some of the highlights that Blister66 have achieved over the years in Colorado are: Playing with well over fifty national acts, including bands such as Mudvayne, Sevendust, Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Suicidal Tendencies, Incubus, Coal Chamber, and 311, proving they are more than able to compete on any level. Blister66 has also participated in several large festival shows such as the Van’s Warp tour, the KTCL Big Adventure, as well as the KBPI Mistle Toe Jam performing to several thousand people at a time. The band is also five time winners of Denver’s Westword Music Awards earning them a spot in the Denver hall of fame with only two other bands from Denver. Blister66 repeatedly pulls in over 700 people to their local headlining shows. On top of all of this B66 has toured the Midwest and West coast repeatedly, gaining a very substantial fan base wherever they perform. Their large fan base is proof positive that the band provides a high energy and visually entertaining show that is second to none. In 2001, Blister66 signed their first record deal with a German based company called MTM. With this deal, the band recorded their album Middle Amerikan Tragedy and made massive headway in the American industry. 2003 brought the addition of Paige O’Meara to the band on bass. Paige being extremely accomplished himself has played over 800 shows, opened up nationwide tours for the likes of D.R.I. and U.K. Subs, and played a role in the major motion picture SLC PUNK as the bass player for Extreme Corporal Punishment. (a.k.a. eight bucks experiment) 2004 brings the release of their new independent album Songs from the Hood a collection of songs written and recorded since M.A.T.. The band is also in the process of writing songs for the next full length and is looking for a new label to help spread the madness that is Blister. Over the years Blister66 has proven they can roll with just about anything and regardless of what happens they keep pushing for the future. These boys do not fuck around and are ready to take over the world!
